From this activity I learned that there is a lot of trial and error while mixing colors. It is very difficult to mix colors to perfectly make a new one, and NEVER add to much black
1. My mentor is Rachel Vaughn
2. She makes lots of prismo color pencil drawings and acrylic paintings 3. RachelVArt.weebly.com 4. It will give me someone to ask for help if I need ideas on projects or if I advice on my art I can ask her. I also think it would be pretty cool to have a group project togeather The colored pencil sphere was the most helpful to me. It helped me learn how to blend colors and make shadows/shade for objects. Composition: The placement or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art. Value: The lightness or darkness in tones of colors. Charcoal smudges very easily which can be good and bad. You can make large scale drawings and rapid changes while using charcoal but the powder gets EVERYWHERE and it is hard to make small details. Pencils are personally my favorite item to use while drawing. Pencils make legible marks on most surfaces, wooden pencils are renewable, they are inexpensive and easy to transport, their marks don't fade, and errors can even be erased. On the down side pencils break easily, they can sometimes sharpen unevenly, and they smudge pretty easily. Pens are unable to erase and it's difficult to shade but it does look a lot better and it does feel more smooth when drawing.
